Jacmor Engineering
History
Reputation built over 50 years
Jacmor Engineering
started from humble beginnings in
1949 when founder, Jack Morris,
formed a small general engineering
business in a friends garage.
Overhead gantry cranes was the
early foray into material handling
equipment. Jack Morris’s entrepreneurial
skills led the company in many different
directions. No job seemed outside
Jack’s scope and imagination
as he built a reputation for quality
workmanship.
Jacmor stands for quality
In the early 1960’s Jacmor
built their first screw conveyor.
This was to set the solid foundation
that would get the company recognition
in future years to come. The name
Jacmor is synonymous with quality
screw conveyors in Australia and
South East Asia.
The core philosophy has remained
unchanged since the company’s
beginnings - to build equipment
to a standard and not a price. This
has been the basis of the company’s
success.

Steady as she grows!
It is our customers that have
necessitated our growth. They just
keep coming back for more. They
are not only receiving the highest
possible standard of design and
manufacture, but they are also getting
value for money in terms of performance,
quality, reliability and longevity.

Steady growth required several relocations.
The company finally settled in large
premises at 136 Bell Street, Preston,
a northern suburb of Melbourne,
in Australia.
ISO 9001
In 1995 the company successfully
achieved ISO 9001 quality assurance
accreditation by Lloyd’s Register.
This accreditation is further proof
the company is committed to providing
our customers with the best equipment
available.
Jacmor Engineering is proud to
be an Australian owned company,
which has not only set the industry
standard but also strives to continue
to improve and maintain its leadership
into the 21st century.
